Microlanguage Licenses Its Thematix Technology to IBP
A Thematix-based Application Will Power IBP Patent Searches and Analyses

Amherst, NY--August 12, 2002 -- Microlanguage (microlanguage.com), whose next generation intelligent language processing technology enriches knowledge management applications and portal information services, announced today that it has negotiated an agreement with Innovation Business Partners, Inc., (IBP), a provider of innovation, invention and intellectual property consulting services, regarding use of Thematix™ technology for patent analysis applications.

Microlanguage's Thematix technology enables OEMs and systems integrators to deliver stronger knowledge management and concept extraction tools, and enables portal information providers to deliver more robust information services to Global 2000 enterprise customers and government agencies. Under the terms of the agreement, Microlanguage will develop an application, powered by Thematix, and a grammarbase™ that will allow IBP to screen patent documents according to target concepts, and view the documents that match the search criteria.
