Microlanguage Targets DoD and Homeland Security Market Sectors with Enhanced Content Management System
Systems are Pre-Integrated with Thematix Semantic Data Tagging Technology
Amherst, NY--April
7, 2003 -- Microlanguage, a provider of intelligent language
processing solutions, today announced that it has launched a sales
and marketing campaign focused on offering streamXML, a sophisticated,
low cost, out-of-the-box content management system (CMS), to its
customers and prospective customers in the national defense and
homeland security market sectors.
Microlanguage
has begun offering streamXML integrated with Thematix, Microlanguage's
intelligent language processing technology. The value Thematix adds
to streamXML-based CMS solutions consists of robust capabilities
to semantically recognize keywords, while content is being created,
and tag them in XML, and enabling users to precisely and thoroughly
retrieve content under management.
The decision
to begin offering streamXML embedded with Thematix was supported
by several important factors, including repeated suggestions by
Microlanguage customers and prospective customers that Thematix
(a component technology) should be 'packaged' with content and knowledge
management solutions; the fact that streamXML and Microlanguage
are already technology partners (announced in October 2002); and
the knowledge that leveraging Microlanguage's proven sales and marketing
channels into the target market would enable both companies to capitalize
on clear and present opportunities for the integrated solution.
On the decision
to directly market Thematix embedded in streamXML, Robert H. Fritzinger,
president and CEO of Microlanguage, said, "As a provider of
a component technology, the value of which is most often realized
when integrated with knowledge or content management systems, we
expect, as a result of this decision, to come much closer to maximizing
the value of our customer relationships, and to more effectively
capitalize on market opportunities by offering Thematix in the form
of a total solution. The model of packaging our technology with
higher order systems is consistent with our partnering philosophy,
and will be applied to systems based on both .NET and J2EE architecture."
"This campaign
was envisioned when we formed our alliance with Microlanguage, and
the decision to pull the trigger on its launch now is supported
by the market's very positive reaction to bundled solution offerings,"
said Kenneth A. Schneider, CEO of streamXML. "We're very optimistic
about putting streamXML to work within the federal sector because
streamXML-based solutions feature a high ROI and low total cost
of ownership, and the flexibility to create fast, robust and scalable
vertical applications from the core technology."
Microlanguage
and streamXML will collaborate on provisioning professional services
in support of system solutions, but both solutions and support services
will be provisioned through Microlanguage.
